Mirrors are for checking up on how we look physically and they can be a friend or a foe. If you have body image disorders, mirrors can be a trigger. I used to dislike seeing my own reflection in the mirror but that was a long time ago. As I planned on posting this mirror earring entry, I took a journey down memory lane on how something so abundant these days used to disturb me but that was only because of the state of mind I had in my vulnerable teens to early adult years. I’m certain many people have stories of their own complex relationships with mirrors.Â
It has to be mentioned though, that this post was inspired by the woman that was passing by the café I was seated in earlier today as I waited for my takeaway order. Hers was large and eye-catching, an arrangement of small squares and larger ones and they dangle beautifully as they frame her short-haired face. I quickly went on Etsy to check if I could find mirrored earrings and of course, I did.
So, no matter what you feel about mirrors, hanging them on earlobes can be symbolic for this year’s a fantastic year to be reflective.Â
