The Solution to the Mysterious Doctrine of the Trinity

The following is a common belief in regards to the trinity of which is presented as such

I quote the website Gotquestions :

The most difficult thing about the Christian concept of the Trinity is that there is no way to perfectly and completely understand it. The Trinity is a concept that is impossible for any human being to fully understand, let alone explain. God is infinitely greater than we are; therefore, we should not expect to be able to fully understand Him. The Bible teaches that the Father is God, that Jesus is God, and that the Holy Spirit is God. The Bible also teaches that there is only one God. Though we can understand some facts about the relationship of the different Persons of the Trinity to one another, ultimately, it is incomprehensible to the human mind. However, this does not mean the Trinity is not true or that it is not based on the teachings of the Bible.
Context : https://www.gotquestions.org/Trinity-Bible.html

I am very bothered by anyone who teaches anything and yet claim that it is “incomprehensible to the human mind” at the same time

I would suggest that perhaps there is more to the human mind than meets the eye since we are created in God’s image after all

Which is why I hereby propose that, God revealed through Jesus Christ, is not “incomprehensible to the human mind”, please allow me to guide you so that you may comprehend with your mind that God gave to you

For the glory of His Kingdom forever, Amen

The Solution to the Mystery of the Trinity

First off, lets begin from the fundamentals of communication and perhaps the weakness of linguistic communication

When we communicate, its a constant matchmaking of definitions between one or more parties in order for the actual communication to come through accurately the way it was intended by the source of origin

For example

When person A tells person B : I am gay

the word gay in the modern sense is vastly different from the archaic usage of this word

because while in the modern, gay means homosexual and in the olden days it means happy

In regards to the trinity, The Bible teaches that the Father is God, that Jesus is God, and that the Holy Spirit is God. The Bible also teaches that there is only one God. https://www.gotquestions.org/Trinity-Bible.html

So for our discussion, we need to start off on, what does the word “God” mean ?

In Greek, the word God is Theos : https://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=G2316&t=KJV
but the meaning of it is rather superficial in a sense that it doesnt tell much about what “God” means

On the other hand, in Hebrew, in place of the word “God” , Elohim is used https://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/gen/1/1/t_conc_1026

This is the meaning of the word Elohim https://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H430&t=KJV

in which its meaning is

  1. (plural)

    1. rulers, judges
    2. divine ones
    3. angels
    4. gods
  2. (plural intensive – singular meaning)

    1. god, goddess
    2. godlike one
    3. works or special possessions of God
    4. the (true) God
    5. God

although it doesn’t explain into very fine detail what the word exactly means, but it does convey generally how the word is used in the old testament ( though in the New Testament scripture the language used is Greek yet Jesus himself spoke Aramaic which is the an earlier form of Hebrew )

in the definition of the word “Elohim” above, what best describes God’s role in relation to humanity is the role of a judge or ruler

and this does not contradict with the word of Jesus who said to the humans around him :

“Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’?https://biblehub.com/john/10-34.htm

which is drawn from the old testament also https://biblehub.com/esv/psalms/82.htm

And indeed, man is made in God’s image

27So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
https://biblehub.com/esv/genesis/1.htm

From here we shall explain the Father, the Son & the Holy Spirit one by one

The Father

What does the word Father mean ?

Now everyone has their own definition of what that word may mean but lets consider what Jesus meant when He used that word to reference the Elohim of Elohims of the old testament ( Judge of judges, Ruler of rulers )

These are examples of how Jesus taught us to perceive the word Father in regards to our everyday practical relations

8But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers.c9And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. 10Neither be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Christ. 11The greatest among you shall be your servant. 12Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. https://biblehub.com/esv/matthew/23.htm

and also on two accounts Jesus taught how we should perceive both our vertical and horizontal relationships in regards to the word “Father”

46While he was still speaking to the people, behold, his mother and his brothersa stood outside, asking to speak to him.b48But he replied to the man who told him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” 49And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! 50For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” https://biblehub.com/esv/matthew/12.htm

33And he answered them, “Who are my mother and my brothers?” 34And looking about at those who sat around him, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! 35For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother.” https://biblehub.com/esv/mark/3.htm

Hence according to Jesus, anyone who does after the laws and commandments of God ( Elohim of Elohims ), become sons and daughters of God through vocation / action and God becomes their Father through vocation / action

The Son

Because the word Father used by Jesus is in a sense, vocational, this is how the word “Son” fits into the puzzle

19So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Fathere does, that the Son does likewise. 20For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing. And greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel. 21For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will. 22For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, 23that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him. 24Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. https://biblehub.com/esv/john/5.htm

So Jesus said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me. 29And he who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.” 30As he was saying these things, many believed in him. https://biblehub.com/esv/john/8.htm

8Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” 9Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. 11Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.12“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. 13Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14If you ask mee anything in my name, I will do it. https://biblehub.com/esv/john/14.htm
44And Jesus cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me. 45And whoever sees me sees him who sent me. 46I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. 47If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. 48The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day. 49For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment—what to say and what to speak. 50And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me.” https://biblehub.com/esv/john/12.htm

and in regards to Jesus being a judge ( Elohim )

47If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. 48The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day. 49For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment—what to say and what to speak. 50And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me.” https://biblehub.com/esv/john/12.htm

13So the Pharisees said to him, “You are bearing witness about yourself; your testimony is not true.” 14Jesus answered, “Even if I do bear witness about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going, but you do not know where I come from or where I am going. 15You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. 16Yet even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for it is not I alone who judge, but I and the Fathera who sent me. 17In your Law it is written that the testimony of two people is true. 18I am the one who bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me.” 19They said to him therefore, “Where is your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.” 20These words he spoke in the treasury, as he taught in the temple; but no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come. https://biblehub.com/esv/john/8.htm

Hence here Jesus defines the word “Judge” as not commonly is used in an everyday sense, and by this usage the meaning “Elohim” which means judge also is redefined

Jesus judges just as someone who tells a child who is playing by the roadside : playing by the road side is very dangerous, you can get hit by a car

The child then chooses to listen to his judgement or not, but in the end whatever happens to the child if he chooses to continue playing by the roadside will be judged in the end by the words spoken to the child earlier

This is how the Father perceives His judgement given through his commandments and statutes thru Moses

Consider this

God, whom is infinitely rich and powerful,

What does He profit if anyone follows his laws / commandments / statutes ?

What does He lose if no one follows His laws / commandments / statutes ?

The Holy Spirit

Wisdom if justified of her children, when we do according to what Jesus commands thru the law of Moses, something happens to the world around us

33For John the Baptist has come eating no bread and drinking no wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’ 34The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Look at him! A glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’35Yet wisdom is justified by all her children.” https://biblehub.com/esv/luke/7.htm

18For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’ 19The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look at him! A glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Yet wisdom is justified by her deeds.”fhttps://biblehub.com/esv/matthew/11.htm

The Holy Spirit brings conviction and judgement to the world. And those who disregard wisdom is righteously judged through their lives filled with weeping and gnashing of teeth.

“I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you. 5But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. 8And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: 9concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; 10concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; 11concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

12“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. 15All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you. https://biblehub.com/esv/john/16.htm

the word “convict” here is Elegcho in Greek https://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/jhn/16/1/t_conc_1013008

the meaning of this word is as follows

  1. to convict, refute, confute

    1. generally with a suggestion of shame of the person convicted
    2. by conviction to bring to the light, to expose
  2. to find fault with, correct

    1. by word

      1. to reprehend severely, chide, admonish, reprove
      2. to call to account, show one his fault, demand an explanation
    2. by deed

      1. to chasten, to punish

hence though the role of judgement, the Holy Spirit is also “Elohim”

and this is Jesus’s definition of the word “Truth” as observed by how he used the word

31So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”https://biblehub.com/esv/john/8.htm

15“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper,to be with you forever, 17even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. https://biblehub.com/esv/john/14.htm

hence by doing what Jesus commands thru the law of Moses, we are His students, & hence by doing according to Jesus’s instruction, we will then only know the Truth and then be set free because of that

Conclusion In Relation To Us and Practical Everyday Life

So now, the Father is “Elohim”, the son is “Elohim”, the Holy Spirit is “Elohim” and we are supposed to be “Elohim” but have fallen and yet are now back on the path of regaining back our rightful nature of being “Elohim” through doing as Christ commands contexted thru the law of Moses

what now ?

35“Stay dressed for action and keep your lamps burning, 36and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast, so that they may open the door to him at once when he comes and knocks. 37Blessed are those servantsg whom the master finds awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will dress himself for service and have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them. 38If he comes in the second watch, or in the third, and finds them awake, blessed are those servants! 39But know this, that if the master of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, heh would not have left his house to be broken into. 40You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

41Peter said, “Lord, are you telling this parable for us or for all?” 42And the Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom his master will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the proper time?43Blessed is that servanti whom his master will find so doing when he comes. 44Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions.https://biblehub.com/esv/luke/12.htm

Humans may seem very weak and imperfect now but as we regain more of our God nature we move gradually towards perfection, reflecting God’s glory, that is how the Kingdom of Heaven be established here as directed in the Lord’s Prayer

Some interesting allegories outlining the relationship of the Father, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and us while brewing up this message

First Allegory

the Father is an icemaker who says : To make ice you need to ensure a cold temperature below zero, a tray to keep water and insulation

the Son is He who comes to show us through action and word how its done

the Holy Spirit is He who reminds us over and over the steps of the Son in relation to the rules of the Father

and those of us who follows according to them, makes ice successfully and become Icemakers as our Father, whom is the Icemaker of icemakers

Second Allegory

In the government of a country there is
1 ) The President who generally dictates the big picture of a country’s relations with others
2 ) The Foreign Affairs Politician who dictates concretely what is needed to be done based on the president’s dictations
3 ) The Immigration Officer at the desk who does according to what the foreign affairs politician / dept dictates which is based on the president’s general dictation
4 ) As a citizen who wants to make a passport, we need to deal with government which means we are dealing with all through above who are “government”

The president is government, the foreign affairs politician is government, the immigration officer at desk is government, why we have a “government” is generally also because most of us agree that we need a “government” so thats why we are sort of part of government or perhaps the government is a part of us

Its not Jesus intention that we set a “trinity” above us like some object of worship

Because according to Jesus, its not what we say we believe thats important but what we do in relation to his commandments contexted thru the law of Moses

21“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ https://biblehub.com/esv/matthew/7.htm

Our relationship with the Father, Son & Holy Spirit is actually closer than our breath

23Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me. https://biblehub.com/esv/john/14.htm

I hope all the above will help people get to know God and themselves better

Nevertheless the Kingdom of God shall advance

Amen

============

TLDR Version :

The solution to the mystery of the Trinity is to also consider us humans as part of it also

Those of us who choose to follow after the Elohim of Elohims in spirit and in truth, becomes one community with our Father who arts in heaven by confirming ourselves to all commandments of Jesus, while us being guided by the Holy Spirit who reminds us and teaches us all things as taught by Christ

Our Elohim of Elohim’s plan for this reality to to create a community of Elohims who follows after Him ruling alongside Him according to His image

This is the purpose of man revealed

27So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

28And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”29And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. 30And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so. https://biblehub.com/esv/genesis/1.htm
