Fashionista NOW: Mint Sherbet Fashion Inspiration

A swell color trend to invest upon this sunny season has got to be mint. Wonder how to give your present wardrobe a minty color update? Click on and let us show you how.

Mint hues are an annual fashion affair come spring and summer. High fashion designers that have included doses of mint shades into their 2014 spring collections are Lyn Devon, Prabal Gurung, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Vivienne Tam.

On the streets, fashion enthusiasts are beginning to sprinkle light hearted colors of pastel inclination and others are going bold with neon persuasion. But, trend forecasters are seeing a whole lot of clean white streamlined outfits with strategically-included barely-there hues.

And this is where mint shades make themselves completely relevant. If you are prone to dressing against the weather (it’s hot and humid here as per usual), cool mint hues are worth considering.

Another cool barely-there hue to wear for the sunny stretch of the year is pastel blue.

How to wear MINT?

For folks with a thoroughly minimalistic methodology to fashion, who are most comfortable in neutral and natural color palette, accent your earthy getup with a pop of mint by way of a mint tote or a pair of mint heels. An all over black outfit can be given an unexpected uplifting mood via a similar approach.

Mint is a fun spring color and it goes well with other print-oriented looks. A mint blazer can be topped over a floral blouse and a plain off-white skirt for a more polished look.

For avid color-blockers, you will not have to be reminded that mint hues can be partnered with a bunch of other vibrant/subdued colors. Radiant orchid, being this year’s celebrated color can be seamlessly teamed with mint for a color-friendly attire.

Get experimental with mint this season and you’ll find the myriad of looks that it can be a part of supremely refreshing especially when paired with your most colorless of outfits.

As always, to the lookbooks below for how you can best inject mint hues into your day to evening wear:
