Bright blossoms on a dark background is Autumn-worthy and grunge-friendly. Click on to find out how to wear dark floral prints stylishly this season.
Blossoming this Autumn/Winter/Monsoon season is the dark floral fashion trend. As the hibernate-y weather reigns upon us, our collective wardrobes take on a subdued tone.
This is witnessed on the floral print trend as it is utilized as embellishments on the blackest of backgrounds. If you’ve been hooked to wearing the most minimal of colors and perceive the return of the 90s grunge just right up your alley, this season’s brooding floral promises outfit diversity made to appeal to the most basic of dressers including the wallflower.
Besides the much loved black and white floral prints, colorful floral petals smack on low-key black ensure your wardrobe gets a toned-down burst of bouquet variety. Harem pants rendered in dark floral can be worn with a black button-up shirt and a pair of black pointy heels if a full-on dark and mysterious look is in your fashion itinerary for the day or evening.
If not, bring light back into a dark floral midi skirt by wearing a denim blue blouse and white chunky sandals worn with socks if the weather’s leaning on the nippy side.

This is so great! I am a sucker for dark floral, so it’s nice to see someone out there is too!
Dark floral is just lovely isn’t it? Thank you for popping by kat! :)
You’re welcome! :]
I think dark floral printed pieces give a gothic and grungy vibe! It’s definitely something that I’d wear in the autumn and winter paired with a leather jacket for an edgy look or a black duster for a look more contemporary. I think wearing florals all year round is so fun to wear because flowers are just too cute and pretty to pass up wearing! And since there are no flowers around in the autumn and winter, everyone will be looking at your outfit for the flowers instead! Haha!

Hehe, thank you for making me smile Diane. You’re too cute. Yes, wearing blossoms during the flowerless seasons is just fantastic and like you said, the wearer stands out easily that way. I think you’ll look superb in a dark-floral-themed getup. Can’t wait to see your edgy take on it :D xx
