Fashionista NOW: Shades Of Army Green ~ Monsoon Fashion Color Go-To

Dressing is often a pretty autopilot kind of process and we are subjected to the influence of weather whether we realize it or not. Monsoon sets a moody enough backdrop for dusty army green if you’re feeling like camouflaging stylishly. Up for it? Let’s go!

At the moment, it’s cold and gloomy here in old Malaysia and if there’s a color that I find myself gravitating to at this time of the year, it is the deep dusty shades of army green. Green is also the color for men’s fall fashion this year and to be quite honest, it is my all-time favorite color for some reason as I’m a fan of a lot of green colored things like green Granny Smith apples, young green mangoes that are delightfully crunchy and sour, and salted green peas to bury my teeth into, just to name a few. Green is also the title of a song by Brendan James that gets me nostalgic for no reason.

There’s nothing about green to loathe as far as I’m concerned except for maybe that annoying green bit of decaying spinach stuck in between your teeth you’ve realized you had too late after flashing an ear-to-ear lunatic smile to a cute guy and finally with a broken heart understood why he had laughed at you instead.

Anyway, for all of you ladies and lads who love (insert shade of green) like me and would totally be psyched to embrace a more green-centered wardrobe, I’ve made a list of dusty khaki green and camo prints chic enough to be worn right now. Enjoy!
