When I think of Valentine’s Day, I think of simple things like spending time with my loved ones and showing them love through kind words and gestures. Nothing too complicated and usually involves little in the material context. Often, this does not at all entail dressing up to impress unless we are heading out for a feast. When we love someone and have been together with them through rain and shine, it’s easy to succumb to a certain casual comfort that we automatically stop trying that hard.
