When I saw a few moonstone gems popping up on my Etsy feed, I instantly fell for their minimalist ‘white’ sheen that catches the light at different angles. Finding out that it is a gemstone associated with an inner journey to finding the self also made me adore this June gemstone, even more. We’re way in November, yes I know, but I’m not the kind to follow cryptic rules, so, I’ll make my own especially when the moonstone speaks to my personal state of mind.

Reading a few websites on the common thread that signifies this moonstone, it essentially states that it is a popular talisman of the inward journey, taking one deep into the self to retrieve what is missing, the parts of the soul left behind or forgotten, then brought to light. Though the moonstone occurs in subtle shades of peach, blue, grey and white, the rainbow moonstone is the prismatic variety, and due to this quality, it is said to act as a prism, diffusing energy, giving the mind and senses clarity, aiding in tranquil sleep and dreaming, deflecting negativity and easing emotional turmoil.
