Looking for chic black and white striped dresses for CNY 2015. Look no further: Affordable shopable NAUTICAL FINDS right here!
Katharine McPhee started the year off in a stunning figure-hugging nautical striped cutout dress by Balmain Paris as she attended The People’s Choice Award last week. We can all agree that she really did look gorgeous in the dress! A dear reader too is smitten with the monochromatic striped dress style that she’s looking forward to wearing one during the Lunar New Year bash.
To help her and anyone else who’s into the black and white stripes trend which has been forecast as one of the top fashion trends for 2015, find below a selection of lookbooks to give you an idea or two on how to pull off the lined look when a B&W striped dress is concerned.

A black and white striped dress that comes in a fit-and-flare shape flatters all body shapes. Featuring a sweet peter pan collar, a pleated skirt and a mixture of similar-sized stripes decorating the dress in a way that elongates and defines the waist, this dress is an instant winner in my book.
With striped dresses, what we choose to wear in the footwear and bag departments matter. The bold red heels and bag bring the necessary pop of color into the otherwise monochromatic look.

If you find a black and white striped frock already too busy visually for your taste, wear glossy black loafers and a fringe-y black jacket to complete your uber chic look, letting the shine and texture bounce off the easy sophistication of the pencil-style dress.
Keeping it solid colored in the footwear department often is the best way to keep the attention on the striped dress and vest. A bright boost of color in the form of a chic red backpack brightens up the look. The heeled boots adds inches to the height and dressiness to the wardrobe.

A neutral leopard print clutch in tan/black makes for the perfect accessory to this ruffled hem striped number. A gold pointy pump completes the look with a dash of glam. Sprinkle with gold accessories for more pizzazz. The long chain necklace worn over the boatneck dress helps to give back the v-shape to your look, thereby lengthening the frame via visual illusion.
♥ | Paris Sue
A flowy backless striped maxi dress is a staple for a summer day wear. Worn with flip-flop style sandals and cat-eye sunglasses, you’ll be ready to take a coffee dash or a mall run with the confidence that you’d look effortlessly stylish.

There’s no denying, stripes are super awesome! I can definitely see myself wearing the second and third dress. I prefer my stripes to be a bit more dressy like in these two looks :)
