Fashionista NOW: Butterfly Inspired Jewelry Ideas

So many jewelry posts and not a single one on butterfly? That was the question that popped up as I thought about butterflies.

Today, I saw a pretty medium-sized butterfly flying from one tiny purple flower to the next sipping on the nectar while flapping its wings. I took a few snaps of the beautiful winged creature out of a spirit of awe. It had black patterns running all around the wings with the space at the edges colored in a shocking blue turquoise. Sometimes, it’s the little things that inspire a post and this post is inspired by that butterfly.

While I personally find butterflies overrated in the context of prints seen on clothing and even charms in the jewelry world, I can understand that the meanings derived from encounters with them can put them in a whole different light. We, as humans, do this to many things we observe in nature, like twigs or a certain leaf from a tree we grow up loving.
