Denim shorts may be part of a yearly staple but there’s no reason not to style them up differently than you’re used to. Find 7 fresh ways to wear denim shorts outside your tired style routine.
I don’t think I’ve ever realized how much a simple piece of a summer-friendly garment can be part of a completely fun or even mildly-dressy outfit until I really sat down and ogled looks worn by fashionistas all across the globe.
The immediate way to wear a pair of denim shorts if we’re letting my knee-jerk style solution to run wild is by pairing it with something casual like a tee on top. Denim shorts are the picture of casual, of course.
And that is why we cast our attention to folks who actually do spend time and effort to coordinate even the simplest of garments with some serious style-focus thought. If you find that you’re somehow stuck in the tired cycle of wearing a predictable outfit style when denim shorts are concerned, then let the looks below give you a bit of inspiration!
Brenda (in the look above) wore her strategically distressed high waisted denim shorts with a striped collared crop top and a clutch. It’s easy to want to pare down your look with the casual denim cutoffs as it’s the expected route but why not spruce it up a notch by dressing the laidback garment UP, eh?
