Ladies, the hunt is over because you’re going to make these kebaya and kebarung styles your perfect baju raya!
When I saw Yans Creation collection of modern kebaya and kebarung, I actually stopped everything. I was thinking of food prior to when my eyeballs spotted them and being a hangry kind of eater who must have her food before anything else, I must say that Yans Creation’s kebaya and kebarung sets got me at hello, I forgot about that hangry person in me.
Yans Creation is Yani Bakhtiar’s women’s fashion label that was founded way back in 1989. In 1990, the first outlet was opened at Merdeka Square Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur. Honestly, I’ve only heard about this hidden gem of a local Malaysian fashion designer just today after its Raya 2017 collection launch on ZALORA Malaysia and I’m delighted!
So, allow me to give the kebaya style from her vibrant and exciting collection a break down.
Available in two color mash-up of black + purple and pink + gold, these kebaya sets are instantly a visual-magnet. The kebaya top in particular has that flatteringly flowy babydoll shape, a V-neckline and a slip-on design (which is a modern twist). The long skirt is made of jacquard fabric with a figure-friendly relaxed-fit construction. It has delicate pleated details all over that caught my eye. With the solid-colored kebaya blouse on top, the skirt design stands out rather beautifully.
The kebarung sets, on the other hand, are charming in their low-key simplicity. With the clever dual color combo that is mesmerizing to the eye – the long pleated skirt, again, stands out stunningly. The kebarung blouse has a subtle irregular hemline that dips at the back. Both skirts for the kebaya and kebarung are of the elasticized kind so ladies, take a pause and be sure to measure your waist properly.
A little advice: Keep your weight before and after fasting in mind ladies!
