Ladies, we’ve heard all about the raw edge that is taking over the denim world where jeans, skirts and dresses have their hemlines looking purposefully frayed. If the edges are where it’s at this season and then the detailing that you want to pop out from your OOTD that’s LESS on the distressed and more on the charming side is the Scallop Edge.
I’ve written about this trend in the past but a quick look at what’s hot on the shelves of ZALORA Malaysia right now has scallop trims written all over it, revealing that it is a returning trend. Oh well, perhaps, it’s just what my eyeballs feel like focusing on but one can’t help but to feel for the charming scallop detailing whether it’s on a neckline of a dress, sleeve edge of a top or the hem of a skirt or dress.
There is something delightfully quirky about a wavy hemline in the place of a usually straight one. I say yay to this as sometimes, one can make a fashion statement via subtle methods and sporting clothing with scallop edges is quite easily one of them.
