I can’t begin to tell you how much I’m into plain stripes that are of the most basic neutral colors right now! Nothing short of a revelation, I know. I kid. Something about stripes when they’re lean, mean and also not too colorful or large in size make them the go-to for any type of weather, situation and event. If the need to dress minimally is so real right now for you then, stripes are your absolute bestie forever!

A solo print in the form of a stripe – where the rest of the separates are kept muted in cream, navy, grey, black or beige – can be the focal point of your outfit this summer if you’re game for stripping your style down to the most basic. When a cheerful mood suddenly strikes you and there’s a feeling like you could do with a pop of color, a basic stripe blouse can be partnered up with your brightest bottom in the color you most prefer and voila, the look is slayed!
