Sandals are a huge part of my life because I live in a tropical country and I seem to have an appreciation for letting my toes out whether they’re painted or not. It wasn’t long ago when I had a complex relationship with my feet but as I go further into different stages in life, I thank my feet everyday and bless them for looking especially on point in sandals.
Being a lover of sandals, I’m always looking for styles that enhance the shape of my feet – the shoe or sandal must be made to consider the width of my foot. When I was growing up and friends were all blessed with small feet, I often got upset for no reason other than mentally-comparing with the anatomy of another person, wishing I was their size. The game of comparison, I learned, and internalized later on, never ends and it is best to appreciate and accept what we are being given by Life. After all, I have functioning feet and they look fine!
Coming back to the topic of sandals: One of the styles I am quite smitten with has cross straps. Since this sandal trend has been circulating many seasons, you might have also seen them everywhere.
