Fashionista NOW: The Color Trend ~ Gray Fashion Inspiration

One of the most neutral canvas colors in fashion is gray. This year, it’s celebrated as one of Fall/Winter’s cooler colors to sport. So, how does one carry off a gray look in style? Let’s find out.

Gray is supremely easy to wear. It doesn’t put you in position to commit to a strong presence of color because it simply is not. It makes a great background for creative contrast with a wealth of print styles, from polka dots to in-your-face baroque.

Known to be the color that sits between white and black in the color spectrum, gray may seem a weak choice as it’s the in-between on-the-fence kind of shade. Some find gray dull because it just does not scream HEY, LOOK AT ME! but as a true wallflower, I adore gray’s subtlety.

In the wardrobe department, gray can be worn from head to toe making sure that there’s a distinct textural difference between one piece and the next. For instance, you can wear a gray crop top layered with a gray cable knit cardigan and finished with an acid wash gray denim and dark gray ankle boots.
