Fashionista NOW: Mellow In Army Green

Mellow muddy/army green: a superb transitional color to sport just before we all go color crazy as the fashion season welcomes the sunnier part of the calendar.

It’s been awfully gloomy and wet here at the equator. Now I don’t mind the windy shady part of the day but when it pours and my internet connection gets cut off, it really isn’t that fun anymore isn’t it?

Anyway, fashion wise with regards to color that fits with the gloomy rainy day ambiance, at the moment I find muddy green is kind of tempting to sport.

Call it army green or gritty green or whatever cool hip name you want to call it but this shade just wonderfully captures the rainy-day hibernate-y mood especially when paired with other neutral colors such as beige, brown, black and white.

Not that I make it a point to don a very wallflower-esque outfit every single time I head out, but when I do let my mind wander on a specific color that best translates the feeling of being indoors while it’s pouring out, muddy green speaks to my mellow interior. It’s a non-demanding shade, after all and it’s so easy to team it up with earthy neutral shades for the most coziest look!

Switch on some jazz and turn the light down low, I’m ready to curl up with a book and some hot tea. So much for stepping out of the house, eh? Anyways..

So here’s a roundup of what I call mellow in army green looks that I love and I hope they inspire you to include mellow muddy green into your wardrobe as you ease into the more vibrant colors of spring! Enjoy!

What do you think of army/muddy green as a transitional low-key color before diving into vibrant springy colors? Do you like how most casual and laid-back these neutral outfit styles are? Or are you already up to the neck with wearing neutral colors?

I personally adore Christina Caradona’s outfit to bits! Girl crush alert, woot woot
