Fashionista NOW: How To Wear The Balloon Sleeve Trend?

Sleeves of the balloon sort. How to wear them? Let’s ponder together!

Balloon sleeves come from a long way back in time. There are many variations to it now and of late, the kinds that we see are the slouchy voluminous sleeves on knitted sweaters. They are a unique kind of gorgeous, I must admit.

Some volume on your sleeves, whether it is happening on a blouse or a knit can create a sort of magnetic pull to the eyes of an onlooker. Sleeves hold that kind of magic to me and especially when they’re strategically crafted to radiate volume, they can be a way of taking the focus from elsewhere and put it on your shoulders. I love the bardot look but I’m ready for some puffy balloon sleeves!

For sleeves that are huge or slouchy, naturally, I’d prefer to have the bottom fitted to offset the volume on top. Fitted bottoms such as tapered trousers, pencil skirts and skinny jeans are some of the easy options to pair with a balloon sleeve top. But of course, you can opt for a loose bottom as well if you’re into the loose and relaxed type of look. For a look at how fashionistas from across the globe have been wearing the balloon sleeves, you know the drill, just scroll away and enjoy!

Which look is your favorite? Would you wear tops with balloon sleeves? Share below – I’d love to know.
