Leopard print dress styling tips.
You and I know for a fact that a leopard print piece can be hard to style. It is a bold piece when you really look at it, busy with prints, stuffed with irregular dots that might be practical if you’re camouflaging in the wild but if you’re planning to have it street style approved or even wear it to a party, then we have to sit down and discuss.
It’s an honest observation of mine to say that dresses in leopard prints can look stuffy and dated if one approaches the accessorizing bit of the dressing up recklessly. What you want to do is to uplift the heaviness from the bold animal print by thinking about the separates that make up the look, unless you are purposefully going for the 80s in-your-face styling which is cool if you’re doing it deliberately.
For most of us perhaps a light-handed strategy to the jewelry, bag and shoe options would be most vital.
I choose three leopard dress styles and their respective outfits to show you that if you nailed the styling of the rest of the outfit puzzle piece with the bare minimum, you will look quite fantastic in the flashy print. Enjoy!
The delicate statement jewelry and shiny ankle boots in a shade that goes with the dress perfectly encapsulate the chic minimalist look even though the print is maximalist.
Metallic Leopard Print Shift Dress
Not only is the dress rendered in a strong leopard motif, it is also shiny – a perfectly strong party piece. To lighten up the look, the large but delicate hoops along with the slinky cross-strap ankle heels turn the dial down on the print’s loud effect.
Sleeveless Leopard Print Midi Dress
Accessorize with a black minimalist bucket bag and pointy toe ankle heels. A stunning pair of statement earrings bring some shine into the leopard print look.
