Purple isn’t an aggressive color at all; not when you style it with black.

Black goes with everything and it doesn’t take a style genius to arrive at that. But with all the monochromatic looks that have been taking over our focus of late, it’s easy to forget that a brilliant purple goes perfectly with it until I saw Nicholas K’s brilliant interpretation of it for Fall/Winter 2016.

Nicholas K FW16 showed a riveting side to the partnership of the a brooding deep purple and black that cannot be ignored. Even though the birds are chirping and flowers are blooming, there will always be a mood to dress in opposite contrast to the weather and I, for one, feel like an introduction of a purple of your favored intensity is a way to play up with such contrast now.
