With our experienced and dedicated staff, GC Hair Academy offers students the most professional hair cutting, coloring,forming and finishing techniques to an increasingly demanding and trend-conscious. We provide Professional Elementary Course (6 months) which is specially designed for beginners who wish to venture into professional hairdressing as a hobby or career.

Biography

Gary Choy is the CEO and Artistic Director of GC Academy of Hair Design. Gary has been an experienced professional hairdresser for over 10 years being a graduate from London of Hair Design. During that time he has worked as a professional hairdresser, as well as owning his first hair studio which began operation in 1998. Since becoming a certified professional hairdresser, he takes pride in keeping up-to-trends in the hair industry by taking many workshops facilitated by top stylists.

Throughout his career, Gary takes every effort to learn and grow within his business by taking professional and personal seminars, presentation and contributing to the local & international community. He has taken part in many seminars of which including ASK Schwarzkopf with the latest product knowledge, up-to-the-minute hairdressing techniques, as well as some platform works, such as the hair design of magazine models, bridal and fashion shows.

He excels in coloring, cutting and styling including updo’s. Gary’s hair skills are very precise and he is always up to date with his coloring techniques, on which his techniques are certified with Schwarzkopf Professional and educated with Wella, L’Oreal and Kerastase.

Gary brings a strong sense of values and importance of training at GC Academy of Hair Design. He has worked and volunteered his time at various hair shows and workshops assisting his own hairstylists in studio.
