Fashionista NOW: Watercolor Fashion Inspiration

What with colors being shamelessly celebrated through and through in fashion at this time of the year, it’s only apt that we showcase a few watercolor-inspired looks courtesy of style-forward lookbookers for your inspiration.

Watercolor prints are officially hot this year as designers like Micheal Korrs, Rachel Roy, Costello Tagliapietra and Naeem Khan unleash understated sophistication of watered-down prints during the New York fashion week for Spring/Summer 2013.

Whether it’s abstract watercolor prints of watercolor floral patterns, this trend is easily adored for its soft mix of hues that can be dreamy and very feminine. For a little edginess, choose watercolor prints that come in strong shades of blue, red and green.

Pastel-y hues are definitely a favorite amongst the girly gals but be sure to consider that they do not wash you out if you’re already extremely pale. For the rest of us, watercolor-hued clothing is easily wearable if you’re looking to make a subtle statement through a much more easy-on-the-eyes print alternative.

Check out how the lookbookers are painting the town watercolor-style:
