For once there was a maiden fair
Lovely, graceful, sunlight in her hair
Generous was her warmth,
Her overflowing youth
Till an act of err, one false step she took
In she goes into the dusty ol’ black book
There was once a maiden fair
Now broken, cold, spiders in her hair
Freed now she is from pain, strife and tear
To watch you in darkness, to whisper in your ear
