Fashionista NOW: 7 Ways To Wear Sheer Black Tights That Don’t Involve High Heels

Wonder how to style sheer black tights without teaming them with heels and extend the life of your shorts and skirts? Find out here!

Sheer black tights (or pantyhose) are fast becoming the go-to legwear to stay warm, comfy and stylish at the same time for Autumn/Winter.

Apparently, opaque tights aren’t as popular as the sheer ones and that someone in the know has declared that in her opinion only those blessed with good legs and are willing to wear heels can ever look flawless in them.

Well, I beg to differ because you shall see in a bit that sheer black tights can work with a non-heel type of footwear too and pray tell: what exactly are ‘good legs’ anyway? Are they legs that are shaped the way runway models’ ones do? Toned and slender? Fleshy and muscular? Or are those good legs include all legs that function optimally like they’re designed for?

Anyway, if you want to wear any sheer black tights, because you like the look of them as well as the function that they offer (keeping you warm while obliterating signs of blemishes or stray leg hairs you wish you hide by illusion) then by all means, wear them. As long as there are legs, of any shape and form, there will be tights; sheer or opaque. And don’t for one second buy into the idea that you’re only to wear them with heels to look good because that’s lunacy. Of course, you can wear them with heels but acknowledge that it is not your only option.

Do you know why? Because you can wear them the way these style-forward ladies do below: with low heel chunky boots, creepers, plain sneakers, combat boots and any type of platforms.

Fun random commentary: When I found out that wearing sprouts atop of heads in the form of plants and flowers are a trend in China, I thought of Doraemon with the helicopter hat he wears to travel some place a distance away with Nobita. I wonder why anyone would want faux plants on their heads and think that maybe, just maybe, it’s a way to psychologically put the people they meet along the way at ease because they (the ones with grass on the head) clearly aren’t insane or violent. Because being randomly ‘cute’ disarm people.
