It’s that pink color trend with a giant millennial hashtag. It is that pink that finally dared to roll around in dirt.
I get it now. The millennial pink color rage. This thinking was set off after receiving a cami crop top from my sister. It was in a color that reminded me of a mistake I did while washing a white tee: Mixed it with pants in terracotta red that shed color. The pink that drenched my old white tee wasn’t a confident pink. It was subdued and dull even. With a touch of tie-dye effect. And it was quite, millennial pink.
If I were to express this color like it had personality, I’d say that the millennial pink is a pink that prefers to be beige but can’t quite abandon its slight pink side. It is a dull pink with an earthy flair. Comfortable with being less in-your-eyeballs, it is pink without that stereotypical loudness of a flirty in-your-face pink. It is pink without that airy fairy dusty pastel pink floatiness. In fact, it edges coral or even salmon. What on earth are coral and salmon as colors now you are prompted to ask? Let’s reserve that for another day.
As for now, here’s how various street style bloggers wear that EARTHY pink (that finally registers with my eyeball right now). Enjoy!
