There are days when all your feet want is to be left carefree in a simple flat sandal and often times, these days are hard to come by. What I’m referring to as flat sandals in this piece is the footwear style that is completely backless, safe for a couple of straps that hold your feet together and that’s all you need (plus some sass and a cleverly-styled outfit, that is!).
Whether these flat sandals come in the form of the plain yet much celebrated birkies (birkenstocks) in the Arizona/Gizeh style or the cross-strappy ones the way that some like their sandals to be, it is only best that you wear whatever sandals you like in the style that flatters your feet best.
This post is merely to address the question whether you can get away with wearing sandals with almost everything except for the most formal of outfits and the answer is quite obviously yes.
The looks below will show you that flat sandals can be made part of your most laid-back outfits typically comprising of tees and shorts or denim and that they can certainly be the most comfortable fuss-free chic footwear to slip into for a stroll at the beach, a rave at a music festival or that brunch date with your mates.
