Fashionista NOW: The Lace Fashion Trend & How To Keep It Weather-Friendly

Lace for spring? How very shocking. Nah, it’s really not. Here’s how to sport the lace trend while keeping it weather appropriate.

While it may still be technically winter where you are, it doesn’t hurt to let your mind devour some sunshine-y spring fashion trends. Like lace, for example.

Where I am, the sun’s out for most of the day except when it’s pouring (when gloomy clouds temporarily cloak the giant ball of fire). The heat can be stuffy that it’s obligatory to wear only weather appropriate duds before stepping out into the afternoon scorching heat.

These days, light airy cotton is what I allow myself to wear whenever I head out.

Anyhow, wearing clothing with lace details made of heat-insulating fabric material is not the smartest of choice when it’s burning hot outside. It’s not just heat, the humidity makes you kind of cranky too. And even when it rains, the heat still lingers.

So an excellent practical tip if you’re about to visit a tropical country is to wear light and loose clothing made of cotton.

And if you’re into the lace trend, there are a diverse choice of cotton blouses with lace embellishments and even cotton lacy skirts and shorts too.

For a look at how you can sport the lace fashion trend in style, look no further than below.

Even if it’s winter, know that you can incorporate lace into your wardrobe: just layer it up and let peeks of lace detailing show up as accents.
