Fashionista NOW: The Color Trend ~ Aquamarine in Fashion

Looking to exude a cool and peaceful aura through fashion? The cool spring cyan-ish green color is the perfect color to include in your outfits.

The reason why I’m currently obsessed with this color stems from the fact that I am living in a place where the sun shines generously, I am forced to seek ways to stay ‘cool’ even when it’s blazing like insane through what I wear.

Lately I’ve been more inclined to wear blue colored pieces just to balance out the heat from the atmosphere and also the inner heat that comes in bursts. No, it’s not menopause. At least, not yet.

So, without further incoherent ramblings, here are some gorgeous outfits accented with the aquamarine color to get you inspired during these hot spells.

The first recorded use of aquamarine as a color name (in English) was in 1598 and the name was inspired by a mineral gemstone found in granite rocks.

Fun fact: The color is used for smocks worn by hospital nurses as it is viewed as a calm and peaceful color by patients.

Lacy harem pants in aquamarine are a bold fashion statement by themselves. To avoid your outfit from looking way too busy to be called stylish, keep the rest of the pieces in subdued colors.

A full-on aquamarine look can be pulled off by wearing dresses in that color, but the presence of the color in small doses such as the cardigan in that color theme (picture above) is enough to balance out the attention-grabbing statement pieces.

Complementing the sweet peaceful aqua color with a peek of neon blue is a nice way to color block. A burst of color in small doses can spice up any look and you don’t have to worry about it looking OTT, at all.

Kryz Uy pairs her lacy top with a pair of aqua cutoffs, exuding a casual chic look. The yellow skinny belt pulls the whole look together.

You can also pull off a formal chic look by incorporating an asymmetrical skirt in the cool aqua color with a white sleeveless top (as above) and white wedges. If you’re unsure about including another color into the aquamarine look, err on the side of mustard yellow. You’ll never go wrong!

And here’s another maxi skirt in aqua that will definitely cool down the mood of any outfit.

Camille Co wears a lovely soft aquamarine blouse with a pair of flesh colored lacy shorts and floral heels. The chunky dangling necklace blends seamlessly with the frilly blouse.

Heels in aquamarine are visually-captivating by themselves. If you’re not too crazy about wearing clothing in aqua colors because they do not flatter your skin tone, well, you can wear the color down south! Let your feet carry the peaceful color and see how it cools down the temperature of your outfit.

So do you like the color trend in aquamarine? What are the cool colors that you wear to switch down the temperature a notch through fashion? Tell us in the comment section below.
