Leopard is a much loved animal print trend that can be tricky to wear. Find out how to incorporate the statement print through skirts rendered in the wild feline spots.
Of the few printed pieces that I own, leopard has apparently become a favorite of mine. I have one pair of leggings and three tops all rendered in the wild animal motif in the neutral color palette of black, brown and beige. One of the tops is tunic-like with a flare that starts at the waist and it is a difficult piece to pull off as the medium-sized spots are all over that they hide the curve of my waist. The only way to get some definition back is to wear a thin black or brown belt (which I don’t usually bother with as I am such a lazy dresser). Because the top comes with long narrow sleeves, I have to report that it has been reserved for the rarest of chilly days triggered by rain, which is a real waste.
I realized that if I had to add another leopard print piece into my wardrobe, I’d get an A-line midi skirt as in comparison to tops, a leopard skirt (with a small print) is way easier to style by simply teaming it with solid neutral colored top.
If you’ve always wanted to wear a leopard print but concerned that you’d look over-the-top, find for smaller prints instead of the gaudy gigantic ones. Like polka dots, smaller print size is easy on the eye and flattering to most body types. Should leopard spots prove to be too wild for your taste, look for cheetah prints instead. There is a distinct difference between the two that you can see for yourself HERE with the latter having a much simpler pattern that consists of solid black round/oval spots.

Shanaz! You should post an outfit picture of you wearing your leopard print! Hehe (: I like leopard print because it’s a bit bigger and bolder than cheetah print! I feel like almost every color is great with these types of prints; pink and leopard, purple and leopard, red and leopard, yellow and leopard… they all look fantastic together! I think I would wear my leopard like how Olivia styled it: all black with a leather jacket! Have a lovely Monday and week ahead of you! (:

Haha! I like Olivia’s outfit arrangement as well, minimal and edgy. Leopard just goes well with any color, I agree, especially when you’re feeling particularly adventurous. I will try my best to get a picture of myself in leopard prints up just for you Diane after I get over my ‘bad face day’ Haha. Thank you for making me laugh darling! You’re such a sunshine :) <3 xx
