Valentine’s day is one of the many days in a year that we get to show some extra love to those that matter in our lives. Excited to look especially good on the day Cupid shoots love arrows on earth? We’ve rounded up six romantic outfit styles for your perusal and inspiration!
Cutting to the chase, here are six looks that I find most romantic to wear this Valentine’s and hopefully they will get you in the mood to organize your wardrobe for ze day!
For those with a strong liking of specific color, work that into your romantic wardrobe for Valentine’s day. You don’t have to experiment with new colors to get in style for a date with your sweetheart. Isabel’s girl-next-doorsy romantic getup has a sneaky surprise that comes in a form of two snakes coiling around each other in the buckle area, perfectly fitting for the new Snake Year.
For fans of Miss Mayo, you’d notice immediately that she’s wearing a very feminine textured look with a surprising rare footwear of choice: clunky lace booties. Not everyone can wear bulky booties so please do take into account of your figure before including those bulky killer heels.
This romantic look monopolizes on the love of two key pieces; the tulle skirt and an embroidered blouse. If you love sweet girly details, this would be a look to inspire your outfit for the love day!
Bernadette’s sporting a witchy all black look with an unexpected pastel pop of color. For ladies who just can’t get enough of black-toned frocks with that mysterious vibe, this one should inspire a dark romantic look that is pretty mesmerizing. Don’t be afraid to introduce a splash of color through your accessories in case you’re concerned about looking more funeral-appropriate than romantic-date ready.
Another sweet yet very cozy look to sport for V-day 2013 is to mix hearts with stripes the way it’s subtly and tastefully done by Toshiko. This is one of my favorite romantic playful looks that just whispers effortless. I especially adore those super feminine booties that she’s wearing. And yes, cardigans for the v-day is a requirement especially when it’s cold where you are. Heart printed cardigan on the other hand is just so freakin’ adorable! And so is the peter pan collar chiffon top. This combo oozes out quirky romantic factor without even trying!
Classic looks never go out of style especially when a lady dons a pencil midi skirt with a slit at the middle of the back hemline. The turtleneck and long-sleeved top may seem a bit too stuffy for some people but it is completely optional. You can replace it with something that is turtleneck-less or sleeveless.
The red lips, I believe is one of the key statement of this look. And those red-soled heels kind of complement the pop of red color from her lips. Rocking the short curly do, Nini Nguyen chooses a pair of chunky hoop earrings which I think is just splendid for this outfit.
For those with a penchant for classic lady of the lost era looks, this style will most definitely be a favorite.
I love this retro look so much that my head is about to explode. The makeup is a classic, the kind that Dita Von Teese rocks daily and I fancy how her auburn hairstyle works seamlessly with it.
The stripey top and that cream midi skirt nailed the sailor girl look. The rust-toned scarf complements the brown from those mad brogues and I am quite mad over brogues, so naturally this outfit is a winner.
What type of romantic look would you go for the upcoming Valentine’s? Will you sport a modern chic flirty dress or get dressed up to the nines in a classic/retro style?
Share below, please and I hope you’ll have a wonderful Valentine’s with your loved ones and be safe!
