Fashionista NOW: Emerald Green ~ The Color Trend For 2013

Pantone, the global authority on color has bestowed upon emerald green the right to be hyped up as the color of the year.

Green in 2013. Don’t you just like that it rhymes?

For the past year I’ve been smitten with this cool invigorating color without really knowing that I was a green fanatic until I took a color inventory of what’s hanging in my closet.

Besides black, the color that has been taking up space in my dark creepy closet is green. In nature, green is the color that seizes us up naturally that we don’t even think twice of our green landscape (sorry to those in concrete jungles). It is the color seen in brilliant gemstones and the two words that come closest to describe the color are luxurious and sophisticated.

Color symbolism tells that green signifies growth, renewal and prosperity. The fact that it represents healing and unity isn’t lost as this color has been highlighted for centuries in various cultures and religions all across the world.

On the red carpet and other glammed up Hollywood events, you’d be blind if you haven’t caught a glance at celebrities working their poses in fancy green dresses. The color catches our attention in a spellbinding sort of way that it isn’t a surprise for celebs to want to be seen in the radiant color.
