Shortalls comprise of shorts, a bib and an overall all in one piece. The infatuation with overalls has been picking up pace ever since the previous year as the overall trend was revived for summer of 2013.
From runways to walkways, celebs and fashion lovers of all breed are having a 90s style moment with the return of the overalls which are said to be sleeker than ever.
Shortalls are a game-changer this spring/summer with a hoard of style bloggers already channeling their creativity in coming up with the chicest of interpretation. So move aside rompers, denim shortalls are where it’s at!
Remember the ruckus that was induced when a celeb was spotted wearing her overalls with a tiny bikini (or was it a bra) out for some type of errand-running activity? I’ve forgotten her name but if you do recall, then let me know.
Anyway, many took to the various comment platforms that her look was risque that it bordered on tasteless for such a mundane activity. Nevertheless the same look can be worn at the beach without much ensuing drama, unless you look ridiculous in it (ah, such is the celebrity life).
Getting to gist of this fashion dilemma, we mere mortals should always consider the physical context that we plan to dress up for. No one wants to see a male colleague in boxers as he sits for a serious meeting with the boss at the office.
So instead of a bikini, I’d advise wearing crop tops or bandeau tops underneath for some extra skin-flashing if your ultimate plan is to buy pastries from the bakery across the street to avoid strange looks and pervy gazes.
