Ultra violet is the color of the new year 2018 and here’s how style bloggers have been wearing the color trend this year.
Purple was not a color I naturally gravitate d. As a teen, when my younger brother decided that the color for the walls to his room would be purple, my thought was how strange that he would pick that out of all colors. I chose mine to be a deep blue that made the room dark even in broad daylight. My brother’s purple was actually a pastel variety, the lightest of lavender. In my head, I pictured a very bold purple that can be visually-assaulting.
The Pantone’s Ultra Violet has more blue than red and thus, can be quite wearable. However, purple as a color comes in varying hues and it’s up to you to find out which is the more flattering for your unique complexion. On my person, I’ve worn a bright purple and also a dark violet which is easily wearable on most people. What I look to wearing the exact Ultra Violet color as defined by Pantone and also, the lightest of lavender as I feel it’s such a cozy unicorn-esque color to embrace.
For those aiming to wear the purple color trend more or on a look for some purple-inspired wardrobe idea, you know the drill, just scroll, eyeball and enjoy!
Which purple look is your favorite? Would you wear Pantone’s Ultra Violet? Drop your thoughts below – I’d love to know!
“We die to each other daily. What we know of other people is only our memory of the moments during which we knew them. And they have changed since then. To pretend that they and we are the same is a useful and convenient social convention which must sometimes be broken. We must also remember that at every meeting we are meeting a stranger.” — T.S. Eliot
