FIVE ways you can give your favorite plaid a style update this season!
If you think of plaid in terms of the numerous looks inspired by the flannel then you have to get yourself out of the style limit for the variety of ways that you can wear the tartan.
I admit I get stuck in the rut of thinking of plaid this way and with this post, I am open to trying new looks in the versatile and unisex print present in abundance in both genders’ closets across the globe.
Without further ado, here are FIVE looks that make wearing plaid fun again. Enjoy!
It’s something else when plaid is present in a breezy piece like this. The flowy fabric softens the vibe of the print and the midi length adds a demure ladylike charm to this getup. I love it!
The Chic Two-Piece Look
Wearing a fitted plaid two-piece like this in the summer can totally up your style game in a jiff. It looks fresh, chic and almost unexpected. A brilliant twist to the casual festival look that is far from being too laidback!
The Oversize Champion Look
♥ | Pxkin
I don’t know about you but strategic layering with oversized silhouettes can be hard to pull off but Pxkin does it like a champion. The show of plaid coming through from under her fuzzy sweater adds mad style pointers into this athleisure look that I adore!
The Roomy Summer Pants Look
Dialing it down further in a casual chic look, opt for plaid pants with a high-waist and a silhouette à la the popular mom jeans and you can wear the trouser whimsically with a tee and dressy shoes.
The Grunge Dress Look
You can find tons of ruffle plaid dresses like this but the way to pull it off is to have it stamped with your own style take and Saskia made it perfectly grunge, with those killer platform boots and boldly colored hair plus accessories.
Which plaid look is making you reimagine the way to style plaid this season? Share below – I’d love to know.
“The sea can do craziness, it can do smooth, it can lie down like silk breathing or toss havoc shoreward; it can give gifts or withhold all; it can rise, ebb, froth like an incoming frenzy of fountains, or it can sweet-talk entirely. As I can too, and so, no doubt, can you, and you.” — Mary Oliver
