Spike Necklace Jewelry Inspiration

I love spikey studs on bags, shoes and clothing. When I found that they’re in jewelry as well, I about lost it.

My love for minimalist jewelry holds no boundary and I am apparently quite into things that have studs and rivets.

My favorite sling bag has spikey studs decorating the base to show how much of a badass I am. And indeed I apparently am, because every time I walk into Watsons, the alarm system by the entrance will start blaring, no kidding. This annoys me to no end having to explain that the studs on my bag are doing it and that I did not steal anything. The fact that I get partly awkward and mighty pissed which I did before many times lent me a perpetual guilty look so I had to my retire the bag until a solution arrives.

Anyway, my love for studded things and hate for Watsons’ annoying entrance alarm system aside, I’ve come to appreciate this spikey jewelry trend I’ve taken to notice because of its spiked stud look. And ever since my sister’s been wearing her lovely pendulum necklace which you can see on my Instagram here, I keep seeing them everywhere!

That said, I’ve decided to share a list of 7 styles of spike necklaces that you might like too, if you’re stud-obsessed like me.

Anyway:

Just like leopard printed clothing which I’ve put on a shopping ban (because I have tons!), studded things especially of the bag variety have been put under the same list to save myself from having to deal with this random alarm-blaring when I enter stores in shopping malls. Am I alone to have experience this? I keep telling people I’m so electrical and electrifying just to feel cool but if there’s a cure to my disorder, I want to hear it, so please share in the comments.

Which of the spike necklace style do you like best? Shoot below – I want to know!

“I had a grungy period and looked like a tramp for a very long time – my mum really hated it! I destroyed her entire ’70s wardrobe by putting studs into everything – I thought I was really cool. But it’s good to experiment – I even had dreadlocks at one point.”Clemence Poesy
