Fashionista NOW: High Waisted Skinny Jeans Fashion Inspiration

Want to get legs that go on for days? Slip your stems into a pair of form fitting high waisted skinny jeans. Doubt it’ll work? Stay on to find out!

Low waisted jeans are not as fun to wear these days. And that is why I’ve moved on to a much sensible yet stylish alternative: high waisted skinnies!

I remember back in the day (early 2000s) when I donned my first pair of low waisted flared bottom jeans that was kind of the style then. I don’t think I even realized that it was called a low waist style then.

As time went on and I started to notice unsightly behinds of other people cracking a peek at me because sometimes that was the price sitting behind some lass in a low waisted denim in a size too small, I grew self-conscious.

What if I have been shoving my bum crack without realizing it? I shudder!

Longer legs with high waist skinnies!

Anyways, if you’re wanting to get your legs to appear longer (or enhance already long legs) with little effort, high waisted skinny jeans will be the easy way to go.

Not only that they’re way friendlier to a less-than-toned tummy, the design also helps to tuck in your extra muffin away and get your derriere accentuated for a full blown curvy feminine effect.

It doesn’t have to be in a skinny cut denim style of course, but please do make sure that the hem falls near your ankle (if you’re aiming for the illusion of longer legs, that is)

This also depends on the general proportion and size of your legs. I know some of you truly loathe the skinny jeans and think that they’re only for skinny legged peeps, but please get a grip and acknowledge that there are different sizes to be chosen from!

Capris in that three-quarter length will not do. Get them in a distressed style (if you like), treated in metallic sheen or acid wash but do try to avoid unnecessary embellishments that may take away from the clean long line that you’re aiming for.

Pair your high waist pant with a cropped sweater in a boxy cut for a fresh and current take of the latest fashion trend. Or wear a top tucked into your denim. Create a long line by finishing off with shoes in a shade that is closest/similar to your denim.

Now that you’ve got a pair of high waisted denim that hugs your legs like a second skin, let’s take a cue from the lookbookers on how to wear them in style?
