Can a tree survive without water?
I’m sure we all know the answer to that, without water the tree will dry out and die, and the loss of trees will not only hurt the urban ecosystem but also cause temperatures to rise affecting everyone around them.
But what about humans and love, can humans survive without love? We know humans need food, water and shelter to survive but love is what makes life worth living.
We were created for love and to love
With no love there is no point in living and life would be a meaningless continuous routine, we would have no desire go on, depression and loneliness would set in and probably suicide causing hurt to friends and families.
But a tree planted by a river shall bring forth fruits in its season and provide oxygen and shelter to those around it. Trees are also able share nutrients and information by fusing their roots with others.
He Shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruits in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper — Psalms 1:3
And similarly, love give us a reason to continue living, love gives us life and love is contagious! Humans are social creatures not meant to be alone, we are meant to form connections and relationships with others and just as trees share their nutrients with other trees, we are to also share and spread our love to others.
But a tree cannot share its nutrients with others if it itself does not have any, that’s why the best place for a tree is by a river close to the source.
