Power suiting in batik and pelikat as interpreted by Syomirizwa Gupta.
It’s that time of the year again ladies! To start off this year’s Raya 2018 fashion frenzy, I am showing you what Syomirizwa Gupta has got in his collection that have caught my eyeballs and it is his interpretation of the fashionable business woman suit that is inspired by the traditional pelikat and batik prints.
The first suit that got my eyeballs good was this hooded jacket set with an all-over pelikat prints in a strong and bold combo of purple and red. The pelikat jacket is a statement of how a traditional print can be made contemporary in an edgy modern hoodie that also comes with a self-tie at the waist so you get to have your curve highlighted.
The statement hoodie will appeal to those with a penchant for dressing up in an experimental and sassy manner so as to match up with their equally vibrant yet quirky personalities.
The other jacket slash blazer is the opposite of the pelikat jacket in impact though still equally powerful in impression. The red batik print jacket stole my heart at hello with its amazing floral details over a red canvas. The batik print has a subtle oriental appeal about it and this blazer jacket is a stunning statement outerwear to be incorporated into your powerful business lady repertoire.
It comes with two front pocket and front button closure. The two jackets from Syomirizwa Gupta each comes with a pair of trousers in a similar print for an eye-catching impactful all-over printed look.
These two suits are the maximalist’s power suiting favorite for sure.
Without further ado, I’ll let you eyeball the beauties. Enjoy!
