Fashionista NOW: Paisley In 2016 ~ How To Street Style This Retro Print Trend

The paisley print trend is back and here I thought it was one that’s just comfortably lurking in the background.

Run a search online and you’ll see that it’s a spring/summer print must-have. But of course, it’s up to you to decide if it is truly a must-have.

I compare it — must-have — to the term street-style and the eye-rolling-ly subjective way it could swing. What is exactly street-styling? Do you stand on the street and style yourself to blend with the exposed concrete at the side where people get high on caffeine?

Do you stare at the closet and picture outfits that look riveting on snaps you’ll post later on Instagram while you strike a non-pose-y pose while you randomly happen to be on a street?

Nobody can say for sure what street-style means with any objective accuracy but when it comes to prints of the paisley sort, I’m thinking that instead of a high street interpretation that can be totally out of a mere mortal’s budget and possibly impractical for the real world, a street-style kind of wardrobe with them is not only the most desirable, but also the kind that supports a certain sense of fashion sensibility.

For cool and creative ways to get your paisley mode on this season, be sure to ogle the looks below. Enjoy!

What is your personal definition of street-style? Is the term so devoid of real meaning, we can lump it with normcore, boho (and geek) chic and the rest that get brutally overused? Share your thoughts down below.

“Using words to talk of words is like using a pencil to draw a picture of itself, on itself. Impossible. Confusing. Frustrating … but there are other ways to understanding.”Patrick Rothfuss (The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle, #1))
