The Contemporary Skort Style Evolution

Skorts came back in 2013 and before long, they’re part of a summer staple that puts the fun back in shorts. Read the skort style evolution observed in three years.

Skorts came into the mainstream fashion picture about three years back and the style evolution of the front faux skirt ( with the practicality of shorts ) can be observed in the span of three years of its descend into closets of fashionistas all across the globe.

In 2013, the style of skorts you’d have witnessed has these two pointy hemmed front overlay that points downward and sits on both mid-thigh region, insanely popular through 2014 and 2015 as this particular skort style took the fashion scene on fashion social media by storm.

If you’re a skort enthusiast, you may wonder if skorts still have the oomph factor in 2016 and the answer is a bold yes! Instead of the two pointy overlay that covers the front of the shorts, the design for the front flap has now taken a look of an asymmetrical wrap style that leans more on one side, with the pointy front hem resting on one of the two thigh area, creating an elongating visual interest.
