Fashionista NOW: Skater Dresses Are Still Reigning In 2015

Skater Dresses Are Still Reigning In 2015

No girl in her right mind would ever say no to a pretty little skater dress. Now, they come in midi lengths too! Skater dresses aren’t going anywhere. If you love them and are on a hunt for a new one, find your skater dress fix here.

Skater dresses are awesome and you so know they are. Recent starlets who have been spotted wearing this universally-flattering dress trend include Selena Gomez, Emily Blunt, Ciara and Emma Roberts to name a few. While the dresses are all rendered in distinct designs and fabric – Selena’s skater dress comes in long sleeves while Emma Roberts goes for the strapless – you can’t ignore the reality that the fit-and-flare silhouette just magically works with each body type.

This year, the midi skater dress with a much longer hemline is set to take over in colors and prints that are both muted and bold. For many, the return to the longer hemline is embraced as dressing effortlessly retro is the name of the style game with elements from eras past intermingle together. Take a leaf out of the 60s, 70s, 80s or the 90s style pages and you know you’ll be good to go.

For those on a prowl for the next skater dress fix, find our roundup below and get ready to drool away:

A grey skater dress with short sleeves – how anyone can say no to this dress, I will not understand!

Fun fact about me: I used to wear loads of short fit-and-flare type of dresses back when I was a pimply prepubescent kid who wasn’t self-conscious about my legs and looking back, I think some of the dresses were skater in style. Thanks for that moms!
