Fashionista NOW: A Minimalist Frilly Peplum Modern Kurung Style For Your Raya 2018 OOTD

A Minimalist Frilly Peplum Modern Kurung Style For Your Raya 2018 OOTD

Could this be the kurung style for the minimalist dresser come Raya 2018? You tell me!

I chanced upon this particular baju kurung style and had to share the look with those into low-key festive kurung styles. They’re from Lubna and they come in a set of four color options of beige, pink, purple and mint. With a kurung top that is reminiscent of the short kedah style blouse, this will definitely appeal to those into crop tops.

Let’s face it, the Malaysian heat and humidity can be too real and if you’re searching for a easy breezy kurung style to house-hop and feast in practical style, then I highly recommend this as a baju raya. But you must be okay with those frilly flared sleeves! Some of us find that a tad of challenge to wear when there is rendang and ketupat to be handled and the hunger level is high.

But alas, frills are proper feminine and the peplum waist is so darn charming, it’s hard to resist! So, if you love soft colors, a shorter blouse interpretation on your kurung, frills on the flares of the sleeves and waist and a high-waist mermaid style skirt, then this could be your minimalist kurung, girls! Enjoy.
