The embroidery trend blends into the free-spirited bohemian fashion category making its stay a relevant one within the circle. Seen on skirts, tops, dresses, bags and shoes, the animated stitches are here to stay. And this year’s winner when it comes to the piece most worn for its embroidered statement comes in the form of a jacket.

Seeing cropped jackets with elaborate colorful embroidery on style bloggers this year has me concluding that they make for such an easy breezy statement-making outerwear to wear at this time of the year.

Unlike your typical patterned outerwear that may be colorful and interesting to wear on top of muted pieces, the embroidered jacket brings to the table something a little extra: a textural pop along with that interplay of vibrant colors.

It is one thing to see a pattern of floral on a piece of fabric and another to feel the careful intricate stitching that forms parts of the floral puzzle on a jacket – now that’s something else as it sets a dimensional tone to an outfit.
