Fashionista NOW: Valentine’s Day Style Inspiration With Lace And Ruffles

Lace and ruffles are splendid details well suited for a date out on Valentine’s day as they’ve always been analogous to romantic styles.

For those who adore such feminine fashion details, you will perhaps enjoy some of the Valentine’s outfit ideas shared below in the form of  fashion imagery selected from lookbook.

The maxi dress worn by this long-haired beauty plays with the soft cascading ruffles and the cotton-candy sheer texture drapes over her silhouette symbolizes a transparent innocence and honesty. The black bow and skinny belt bring a more masculine contrast to the soft white of her dress.

Sun J. wears a ruffle chiffon mini dress paired with a statement chiffon bow sandals and in both of her hands, she is carrying a black lace clutch. The soft pink chiffon dress is an epitome of coy elegance and I absolutely adore its minimal ruffle details.

Mayo Wo is wearing a lightweight lace dress with a ribbon detail in the waistline and a ribbon headband over her head. She looks like a ballerina lost in a forest, don’t you think?

On a practical note, when looking for the perfect lace dress or any pieces that carry lace details, stick with those that are not too over the top. And if you do pick a clothing that has elaborate bold lace detail, make sure that it doesn’t clash with the rest of your ensemble.

Cheyser Pedregosa is wearing an outfit that is devoid of lace/ruffle details but looking at the picture, we are tricked into thinking that it is. What she is wearing is a combination of a sequined top, sequined detachable collar, pearl belt and jewelled shorts.

Say, if you’re allergic to lace or something, don’t fret! Find for dresses or blouses that carry sequined details. They do look romantic-looking too, you know.

Shan Shan mixes floral and lace in her romantic/quirky get-up. The lace top blends amazingly well with the soft pink floral shorts. Those heels sure are bulky but if you’re into chunky kicks, have fun including them! Or else, wear kitten heels in soft tones.

Who says you can’t combine the innocence of lace with the wild flavor of the leopard print? Aileen Belmonte nailed it by wearing a vintage lace dress, a leopard print suede bag and a chunky leopard print ring.

Jasmine L. wears a lace tunic with beige pink shorts and a beige peach handbag. The soft colors of her get-up make her look ethereally angelic. Perhaps, it’s just those doe eyes. A nice way of letting your personality shines through on V-day is to wear soft colors that don’t distract the attention of your beau.

Kani is never without her adorable quirky swag and her get-up is a reflection of that.

Even her petticoat skirt screams ‘cute’! The headband is made by Kani herself and if you’d like to view more of her crafty headbands and maybe purchase them, head on to her etsy store.
